1. We are commanded to NEVER tempt the Lord concerning His protection.

    A. Luke 4:9-13.

    B. People do foolish things to prove their spirituality. God expects us to TRUST Him but don't TEST Him.
 

2. Handling Serpents.

    A. Handling a serpent was the sign that God gave to Moses for Israel - Exodus 4:1-4, 8-9, 30-31.

    B. The serpent is a symbol of Satan. It is forever a cursed symbol – Rev. 12:9-11; Gen. 3:1-6, 13-15; Luke 10:18-19.

    C. Paul experienced this sign of protection on Melita - Acts 28:1-9.
 

3. Drinking Deadly Poisons.

    A. 2 Kings 4:38-41.

    B. God promises protection
