NOTE: These steps are not to be taken as a standard formula for casting out demons because a formula will never work against the devil. These steps are given to you as a basis upon which you can begin operating in a ministry of deliverance. You must continue to seek God later as to how He would have you to move in each individual case.
 

1. Use The Name Of Jesus.

    A. Acts 16:16-18; Mark 9:38-40.

    B. All authority has been given unto Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20). We use His name which has the authority.
 

2. Recognize Your Authority Over Them.

    A. Luke 10:17-20; Luke 9:1-2.

    B. Demons know who has authority over them and who don't - Acts 19:11-17.
 

3. Stay Under The Protection Of The Blood.

    A. Rev. 12:11; Colossians 1:13-14.

    B. Demons are afraid of the blood of Jesus.
 

4. Do Not Be Afraid Of Demons.

    A. Jesus has destroyed the devil and his power and has removed every reason to be afraid of him - Heb. 2:14-15.

    B. The greater One lives in us and we cast out devils by His power - 1 John 4:1-4; Matt. 12:28.
 

5. Be Sure That You Are Living A Clean Consecrated Life.

    A. James 4:4-7.
 

6. Don't Hold Conversations With Them.

    A. Jesus never did and neither should we - Mark 1:23-28.

    B. Sometimes you will need to know how many there are or who they are. This is the exception, not the standard - Mark 5:7-12.
 

7. Fasting And Prayer Helps.

    A. Matt. 17:14-21.
