Word of Faith Movement: Is It Metaphysical? (Part One) - In part one of this three part essay, we look at the how the critics of the Faith movement attempted to charge E.W. Kenyon of mixing metaphysical teachings with Bible teaching. Using this premise, the critics then attempted to connect Kenyon to the modern Faith movement, thus developing what is known as the "Kenyon-Connection." Through this connection the whole Faith movement is made to look like an offshoot of the metaphysical cults. We see how some both within and outside the faith movement these charges have been refuted. We also see how Kenyon and some of the Faith teachers after him truly felt towards the metaphysical cults.
Word of Faith Movement: Is It Metaphysical? (Part Two) - In part two of our essay we take a look at Kenyon's true mentors and their attitude towards the metaphysical cults. These are the men that had direct influences on Kenyon and his theology. We then compare Kenyon's attitude concerning these cults with those of his mentors.
Word of Faith Movement: Is It Metaphysical? (Part Three) - In this final essay in this series, we compare Kenyon's teaching on the cardinal truths of Christianity against those of Christian Science. We show you the startling things that the Christian Science cults believe concerning the deity of Christ, the trinity, the virgin birth, etc. and we show you exactly what Kenyon said about them.
Below are a series of articles on the E. W. Kenyon webpage that deal with the issue of Kenyon and the Metaphysical cults. You will have an opportunity to read from Kenyon's own pen and that of his wife how Kenyon truly felt about these cults:
What did E. W. Kenyon think of the Metaphysical Cults - Three articles written by Kenyon dealing directly with his disgarrements with the Metaphysical Cults.
How Did E.W. Kenyon Spend His Early Years? - An article written by Kenyon's first wife, Evva, detailing the truth concerning Kenyon's early years in ministry. Refutes the lies told by one of Kenyon's main critics.
Where Did E.W. Kenyon Learn About Healing? - Refutes the claims by Kenyon's critics that Kenyon learned his doctrine of divine healing from the cults.
Criticism, Controversy, and The Local Church - Pastor David Hagni pastor of Grace fellowship. In .pdf format.
