I. Once we have become Christians it is essential that we tell others thegood news concerning our conversion. If we are ashamed to confess our master before men then He will deny us before the Father.

    1. Matt. 10:32-33.

    2. We are commanded to witness - Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20.

II. Although there is no standard formula for witnessing effectively, we offer some suggestions to the believer.

    1. Develop a love for the lost - John 3:16; Rom. 5:5; 1 Cor. 13

    2. Receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit. This will give you power for witnessing - Acts 1:8; Mark 1:8-15.

        a. If you have not received this yet then restudy Lessons Five and Six.

    3. Spend time in prayer. Call up specific names before God of those whom you want to see saved - Matt. 12:30; 1 Tim. 2:1-6.

        a. Pray in faith beliving God for their salvation. Do not pray doubting or you will get no results - Mark 11:22-24.

III. The Word in witnessing

    1. Learn the Word of God so that you will have Scripture ready when confronted with questions - Acts 4:4; 2 Tim. 2:15-17; Rom. 10:14-17.

        a. The Word of God is what converts men and women (1 Cor. 4:15; James 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:23).

        b. Lessons One through Three may help you in understanding how to present the Gospel to an unsaved person.

IV. Other Important things

    1. Learn to be led by the Spirit of God - Acts 8:26-38.

        a. Many times we waste much precious time trying to reach people whom God has not layed on our hearts. Though we should proclaim the gospel to as many as we can, let us learn to follow God's leading and direction.

    2. Use good tracks that tell the person the Gospel and how to be saved. This may help the person when you are not around.

    3. Do follow-up work on the people you have witnessed to. This is probably the most neglected area of witnessing.

CONCLUSION: Your purpose for being on earth is to bring the lost to Jesus. Fulfill your purpose and you will be a happy Christian.
